south aims to be a decentralised exhibition with artists from our online digital art communities of artists in the Southern Hemisphere / Global South / South-identifying places exhibiting during the same weekend around the Southern parts of the world.
The overall event shall highlight and focus on artists in the Southern Hemisphere / Global South / South and their art works, as often they are not able to attend EU/USA based events due to travel costs and timezones. The Sydney event shall introduce artists from other nations to Sydney audiences and show a sample of the breadth of digital art created around Southern locations. It will also highlight the decentralised nature of Teia and Tezos art communities. Exhibitions shall be planned in other locations by local artists and curation teams
